Chapter 6

Tasha

The whole night.

It had taken literally years to finally get this, but I got an entire night with Royce and it was as amazing as I had dreamed it could be. Slowly, I opened my eyes, not wanting to stir too much and wake him. His naked body was pressed against my back, his semi-erect dick reminding me of the pleasurable heights he could take me to. I was tempted to close my eyes and go back to sleep, but nature was calling, battling with my empty stomach over which was more important.

Ultimately, as I slowly untangled myself from my lover, my bladder convinced me to give it priority.

After using the washroom and taking a quick shower, I made my way into the kitchen with a towel wrapped around me. I knew that he had servants and a personal cook at his penthouse, but hoped he’d appreciate a woman who cared for him making an effort. I wasn’t much of a cook, but the food I made was generally edible.

Grabbing some eggs, cheddar, and ham from the fridge, I chopped the ham and grated the cheese, mixing it together with a half-dozen eggs in a bowl until they were thoroughly mixed up. Pouring the mixture into the frying pan, I started on the pancakes next.

By the time breakfast was done and ready to be plated, Royce made an appearance in the bedroom doorway. He’d also taken a shower and had a white towel wrapped around his waist. His eyes scanned the living room to quickly find me in the kitchen behind the island. My heart skipped a beat as our eyes locked.

“Breakfast smells amazing baby.” With a smile pulling at the corners of his lips, he made his way over to me. Coming to a stop behind me, he wrapped his arms around my waist and placed a gentle kiss on my neck. “You smell nice as well.”

Grinning, I spun around in his arms and slid my hands up his chest to lock my fingers behind his neck. “So do you.”

He chuckled. “I should… It’s yours. I had to wash my hair and body with your rose-smelling shampoo and soap.”

“You should have brought a bag with you.”

Taking a deep breath in, he sighed. “Well, I wasn’t planning on staying the night.”

My smile fell. I wasn’t sure why, just the way his words tumbled from his lips made me think there was more to it than what he was letting on.

“Why wouldn’t you want to?” I could hear the hurt and annoyance in my tone.

“No, baby.” Placing a hand on my cheek, he ran his thumb along my lower lip. “Don’t do that. I came here to talk. The past week gave me time to think about what happened between us and so I felt we needed to have a nice open and honest conversation about our situation.”

Stepping back from him, I tightened the towel around my chest. “I don’t understand.”

Stepping past me, he began to plate the food. “Let’s discuss it over breakfast.
